About Atlanta Epoxy Flooring Pros

Atlanta Epoxy Flooring Pros puts resin coatings on concrete: garage floors, basements, workshops, retail and service floors, and warehouse bays in Atlanta and the surrounding metro. We install solid-color epoxy, decorative chip systems, polyaspartic coatings and metallic epoxy. We choose the system for your floor only once the slab has been tested in person, never from a phone call.

Most coating failures we are asked to look at come down to a short list: a slab that pushes moisture up from below, a floor that was etched instead of ground, a coat rolled on during a sticky afternoon when the concrete sat below the dew point, or an epoxy topcoat left in full sun. Metro Atlanta gives all four plenty of chances. Summers are humid, rain falls in every month, lots slope toward basements, and a lot of intown concrete is older than anyone living on it. We plan around each of those on purpose.

How a job runs

  • Visit and test. We measure the space, take moisture readings, and check for paint, sealer, oil, cracks, spalling and low spots.
  • Written quote. The paperwork spells out the product family, how many layers, every prep step and the final figure. Nothing is started on a handshake.
  • Grind. We diamond grind the concrete to open it up so the primer can bite. Acid etching is not how we prepare floors.
  • Repair. Cracks, chipped control joints and pitted areas get filled and ground flush.
  • Check the air. Before each coat we read slab temperature, air temperature, humidity and dew point. When those readings fall outside the product's range, we hold the coat or reschedule.
  • Coat and cure. Base, broadcast or pigment, and topcoat are applied in sequence. Afterward you receive clear times for foot traffic, furniture and tires, set by the product and the conditions on install day.
  • Changes in writing. If we find something mid-job that changes the scope, you see it in writing and approve it first.

What we do not do

We coat concrete only, not wood, tile or vinyl plank. A coating also will not fix a slab that floods during storms, a crack that keeps moving, or concrete that is heaving. When we spot one of those, you hear about it up front, ahead of paying for any coating.
